Humans have always made tools to improve their lives. We tend to picture technology as screens and apps, but it's far broader than that — solar panels, cement, electric bikes, highways. The applications and tools we've created are almost endless. Any application of knowledge for a practical purpose counts. What I find interesting is looking at all of it through a sustainable, long-term lens: is it building toward something worth keeping?
